How It's Made

The doug coil machine contains the electronic components--capacitors, resistors, and switches, in a hand-crafted red oak frame and panel cabinet. This will fit on the top of the QSC 1850HD amplifier. The amplifier and cabinet together are 11 inches high. The third electronic component is the Instek digital function generator. The coil is hand wound and is mounted on an oak coil stand. The coil is 9 inches in diameter with a 6 inch diameter hole in the center and weighs approximately 14 lbs. with the oak stand.
